The Toronto Power Trio

Formed in Toronto, in the late 20th Century.
Alex Lifeson (guitar), John Rutsey (drums), Geddy Lee (bass, vocals).

First album titled simply "Rush", contained straight forward, straight ahead heavy rock numbers. First released on Rush's own label, Moon records, it was Later picked up by Mercury and made available worldwide."

Release of second album "Fly By Night" saw the arrival of a new drummer / lyricist, Neil Peart. Peart's unparalleled drumming techniques combined with his intellectual, philosophical, and  mystical style of lyrical writing  helped the band transform and mature into their current musical state.
